Blackberry Touchscreen Ready to Take on iPhone

Touchy touchy.
Touchy touchy.

I’m a big fan of the Blackberry, although the iPhone has always made me jealous. I’ve assumed that Blackberry’s superior understanding of the market would eventually surpass it, and their big shot at it was released today..the Blackberry Storm.

The Storm is a different kind of touch screen…
The BlackBerry Storm aims to blow away its rivals with an “intuitive touchscreen” which can be pressed down like buttons on a keyboard, unlike other touchscreen mobiles where users tap the unresponsive glass.
I’ve heard conflicting reports and am not sure if this is the one. The iPhone has a few key deficiencies, so if Blackberry is a reasonably good touchscreen, has good software, and maintains the previous generation’s usability, then it’s a win. If not, this could spell big trouble for RIM as the iPhone G3 has really taken off.
This is the link to the British article, it should be hitting stores in the US later this year, I got a Verizon announcement about it coming soon the other day…
