Obama Takes the Campaign to…XBox360?
“turn off the television set, and put the video games away.” – Barack Obama speech earlier this year
I can’t say much, because he’s destroying McCain in the polls, but Obama is now popping up in video games with paid advertising. However, it is telling in a number of ways about the state of our society. Only in a society who wouldn’t pay attention to an election if you didn’t slap an ad around turn 3 in an Xbox racing game could Obama be elected.The fact that no issues or discussion exist in this digital world helps here immensely too.
At any rate, Republicans shouldn’t complain, sure Obama gets the “living in your parents basement” vote, but McCain has had ample opportunity to present his case to the American people for free on national televised debates, and has failed miserably trying to go after the “undecided” vote by sitting the fence.
So Obama is now showing up in your favorite football video games and racing games, while McCain is the Xbox 360′s famous “red ring of death” and needs a serious reboot.
